We are committed to providing educational excellence, equipping every student for a full life in Christ, and enabling the students and their families to live their lives as Christian witnesses.

We welcome families of all faith backgrounds who want to embrace Christian education at St. John’s school.  We also welcome families from all over our local community, including Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Ferrysburg, Muskegon, Coopersville, West Olive, and more.

Our family-like environment allows us to seamlessly connect all aspects of education into a cohesive experience.  This means we graduate students who are intellectually developed, socially adept, and grounded in their faith.

What Do Parents Say About St. John’s Lutheran School?

Elementary school girl with small snake

“Every aspect of the learning environment has helped my daughter to feel a sense of belonging, nurtured her love of learning, and fostered confidence
and self-worth.”

(Kim Vazquez, parent)

“I love that my Kindergartner interacts with kids of all ages.  That’s so great for communication skills.”

(Angela Zondervan, parent)

Middle school students study science

When our youngest daughter was ready to start kindergarten, we were pleasantly surprised to find St. John's Lutheran School. My husband and I thought, ‘What a hidden gem this school is in our community.’ The cost of tuition was so much more reasonable than where her siblings had attended, and her education was equally as good as theirs. In hindsight we wish we had sent all of our children to St. John's Lutheran School."
